Dear Referring Physician

As the gynSurgery team, we would like to be your personal point of contact when planning and performing surgeries for your patients. You can choose the level of involvement you wish to have throughout the surgical process. You are welcome to assist during the surgery, take over the postoperative care directly, or delegate the entire perioperative management to the gynSurgery team and resume regular follow-up care afterwards.

Our team will organize everything accordingly. This includes a preoperative consultation shortly before surgery, the surgery itself, and the follow-up appointments, all arranged according to your preferences. This way, you remain the primary contact. Histology results and reports will be sent directly to you.

Detailed Referral Process at gynSurgery

1. Referral: Registration can be done digitally, by printing out the registration form (click on “Form for Referral”), or by phone
2. Appointment scheduling by gynSurgery: Our head medical assistant, Sophie Filippou, arranges 2 appointments with the patient:
   • Appointment for preoperative consultation with the surgeon
   • Appointment for surgery at the desired clinic
3. Note to patient: The patient is informed to schedule the follow-up appointment directly with you (unless otherwise requested)
4. Procedure: Depending on the type of intervention, inpatient or outpatient. All organization is handled by gynSurgery
5. Reporting: Prompt delivery of the surgical report and, if applicable, the histology report
6. Follow-up: At your practice (unless otherwise requested)
